Michelle Jurgens Brooks, MA, LPC
Michelle began her clinical training working with children, adolescents and adults in a hospital setting recovering from eating disorders and other co-occuring issues. She also has extensive clinical experience working individually and in groups with adolescents and adults recovering from depression and anxiety along with substance use.
Michelle has trained in the theory of the attachment relationship between parent and child and how that relationship impacts the way the individual views themselves and the world around them. In addition, she is trained in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Non-Directive Child Centered Play Therapy, Sandtray Play Therapy and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. Michelle has also obtained training in Neurofeedback and its usefulness in improving mood, sleep, concentration and performance. Michelle continues to seek education in the most current research and approaches available.
A graduate of The College of New Jersey, Michelle holds a Master's Degree in Counseling as well as her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Widener University. Before joining The Center for Dynamic Growth, Michelle worked at Princeton House in Hamilton, NJ.
