About Sharon Stanley, LAC, NCC

Sharon S. Stanley received her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey and is a Licensed Associate Counselor with the state of New Jersey. She completed her clinical training focusing on survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.  

Sharon utilizes an Attachment Theory lens in her work with children, adults and families.  She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurofeedback and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. Her 15 years of volunteer work with children and adolescents fuels her interest in Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy. 

Sharon has an eclectic approach to therapy and believes early childhood experiences pave the way for adult life choices. She uses an integrated approach that best serves her clients in a nurturing and supportive environment. She is passionate about understanding trauma, and the resilience of the human soul.  

Sharon is a therapist practicing under the supervision of Leigh Povia, MSW, LCSW, RPT, BCN.
